Introduction Harmony Gold Mine is seeking a forward-thinking and highly structured Senior IS Manager – Enterprise Architecture and Business Process Management to lead our technological vision and process framework. This pivotal corporate leadership role is responsible for planning Harmony's enterprise architecture strategy and driving the evolution of business processes from high-level mapping to execution. The successful candidate will ensure our technological resources are sustainable, agile, and aligned with short- and long-term organizational objectives while steering digital transformation across all business functions. Minimum Requirements Applicants must satisfy the following criteria to be considered for this position: Education: Diploma in Software Development, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. This must include hands-on technical experience in large-scale Solution Architecture designs and deployment, business analysis, Systems Lifecycle Management, and infrastructure planning and operations. Management Background: 3 to 5 years of proven management experience within a large organizational structure. Core Knowledge: Broad knowledge and a thorough understanding of the Enterprise IT environment, Architectural domains, and Business Process Management. Preferred Attributes: A Post Graduate Degree in Software Development, Computer Science, or a related field; working knowledge of Zachman / TOGAF EA frameworks and BPMN 2.0 standards; and familiarity with mining industry-specific business processes, terminology, and design methodologies. Job Description Summary The Senior IS Manager – Enterprise Architecture and Business Process Management owns, defines, and governs the lifecycle of the organization's enterprise blueprints and process methodologies. Key responsibilities include: Strategic Architecture & Roadmap Planning: Translating business goals into IS capabilities; analyzing, evaluating, and developing long-term Enterprise Architecture (EA) blueprints across all domains (business, data, application, technology, security, and integration). Business Process Management (BPM): Establishing BPM frameworks and modeling standards; collaborating closely with Operations and Functional Teams to target bottlenecks, perform root cause analyses, and introduce digital transformation improvements. Governance, Compliance & Security: Establishing and overseeing the EA governance structure; monitoring technical adherence to regulatory standards, and partnering with Information Security to outline strict security architecture guidelines. IS Transformation & Investment Oversight: Facilitating technology decisions on behalf of Harmony; keeping abreast of global tech trends, and evaluating IS investments and project prioritization for strategic fit and process impact. People Management & Stakeholder Engagement: Leading and mentoring the internal EA team; implementing the Harmony performance management program, and driving widespread architecture awareness via focused education and communications across the business.
