Senior IS Manager – Management Office Introduction Harmony Gold Mine is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior IS Manager – Management Office to join our Corporate Information Services team. This role is essential for driving the end-to-end integration of financial management, asset lifecycles, and procurement governance necessary to support Harmony's overarching technical and business strategies. The successful candidate will act as a key leadership pillar, steering continuous operations, establishing high-value vendor relationships, and safeguarding structural compliance across the entire Information Services division. Minimum Requirements Applicants must fulfill the following criteria to be considered: Education: Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 6–8 years within the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector, featuring strong technical experience in overseeing the sourcing and maintenance of IT assets, contract management, and financial management. Management Background: 3 to 5 years of proven management experience inside a large organizational structure. Core Competencies: Broad knowledge and a good understanding of Commercial Law, Contract Management, Finance, and Supply Chain Management. Preferred Attributes: A Post Graduate Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field; alongside a solid understanding of business analysis and deep insight into how to utilize and leverage IT to deliver sustained business value. Job Description Summary The Senior IS Manager – Management Office leads the division's governance, budgeting, and commercial execution frameworks. Key responsibilities include: Strategic & Governance Leadership: Contributing directly to the corporate IS and digital transformation strategies; implementing functional governance procedures to ensure complete alignment with corporate standards. IS Financial Management: Leading financial cycles (including annual plans, forecasts, and monthly accounting closes); managing the capital and operational budgets for the entire IS function, and delivering data-driven cost variance analytics. Procurement & Legal Engagement: Developing and executing comprehensive purchasing plans; leading sourcing activities (RFPs, RFQs, ITBs), and partnering with Corporate Legal to negotiate optimal commercial contract terms and SLAs. Asset Lifecycle Management: Overseeing the strategic daily tracking and management of software and hardware assets; monitoring deployment, application licensing, and maintenance usage to improve total cost of ownership. Stakeholder & Team Management: Providing strong mentorship and leadership to the internal team using Harmony's performance management program; presenting financials to the IS leadership team, and managing external vendor reviews or escalation points.
