Salary: R15 000 – R18 000 per month
OverviewOur client, based in Klippoortjie, Germiston, is seeking a professional, organised, and proactive Girl Friday / Personal Assistant / Receptionist to provide comprehensive reception, personal assistant, and administrative support to the business. This is a varied role requiring someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can multitask effectively, and takes pride in ensuring the office operates efficiently while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment for clients and visitors.
Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the first point of contact by welcoming clients, visitors, suppliers, and contractors in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls and emails professionally.
Maintain a professional, clean, organised, and welcoming reception and office environment at all times.
Prepare refreshments for clients and visitors when required.
Provide comprehensive Personal Assistant support to management, including diary management, scheduling meetings, coordinating appointments, and arranging travel where required.
Prepare, type, format, and distribute correspondence, reports, presentations, and other business documentation.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, courier bookings, and deliveries.
Prepare customer quotations, process invoices, and assist with general accounts administration.
Perform general office administration, including filing (electronic and manual), scanning, photocopying, printing, data capturing, and maintaining accurate records.
Maintain company filing systems and ensure documentation is organised and easily accessible.
Order and manage office stationery, kitchen supplies, and other office consumables.
Coordinate office maintenance requirements and liaise with suppliers and service providers.
Assist with procurement administration and general purchasing duties.
Support management and various departments with day-to-day administrative tasks.
Organise meetings, prepare meeting rooms, and ensure all facilities are ready for visitors.
Keep the office neat, tidy, organised, and presentable at all times.
Provide general Girl Friday support by assisting across all areas of the business as required to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the office.
Carry out any additional administrative or operational duties reasonably requested by management.
Minimum Requirements3–5 years' experience in a Receptionist, Personal Assistant, Office Administrator, or similar role.
Fluent in both English and Afrikaans (spoken and written).
Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.
Excellent computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience preparing quotations and invoices will be advantageous.
Strong organisational, planning, and diary management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional appearance and excellent telephone etiquette.
Ability to multitask, prioritise work effectively, and work independently.
