Social Media Manager / Content Creator | Luxury Hospitality & Safari Company | Remote

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a creative and results-driven Social Media Manager / Content Creator to join a luxury hospitality and safari company.

This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates based anywhere in South Africa. The successful candidate must have a deep understanding of the local safari and tourism industry, with the ability to market affordable luxury travel experiences while maintaining a premium brand image. The role may be offered as either a full-time position or a freelance retainer, depending on the successful candidate's experience and availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute engaging social media strategies across multiple platforms
  
• Create compelling content that showcases luxury hospitality and safari experiences
  
• Transform raw photos and videos into polished Reels, TikToks, short-form videos and social media posts
  
• Plan and schedule content to maximise audience engagement and brand awareness
  
• Manage and optimise Meta advertising campaigns targeting local and international travellers
  
• Create campaigns focused on lead generation and direct booking enquiries
  
• Write engaging, informative and conversion-focused social media copy
  
• Monitor comments, messages and online engagement, responding professionally and promptly
  
• Analyse campaign performance and provide regular reporting with recommendations for improvement
  
• Stay up to date with social media trends, platform updates and best practices
  
• Collaborate with the operational team to ensure a consistent brand message across all channels
  

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Social Media Manager, Digital Marketing Specialist or Content Creator
  
• Proven experience within the safari, tourism or luxury hospitality industry is essential
  
• Strong understanding of the South African safari and travel market
  
• Demonstrated ability to market affordable luxury experiences while maintaining a premium brand identity
  
• Proficient in Meta Ads Manager and audience targeting strategies
  
• Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills
  
• Experience creating high-quality Reels, TikToks and short-form video content
  
• Strong photo and video editing skills using relevant content creation software
  
• Ability to interpret analytics and optimise campaign performance
  
• Highly organised, self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
  
• Passion for travel, wildlife and the hospitality industry
