This is a rare opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional with a passion for luxury guest experiences, operational excellence, and team development. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the lodge's daily operations while delivering personalised service, inspiring a high-performing team, and creating unforgettable guest journeys in a spectacular island setting. Key Requirements Minimum of 3–5 years' experience as a Lodge Manager or General Manager within a luxury lodge or hotel environment. Previous experience managing a remote property is highly advantageous. Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field. Proven success in training, mentoring, and developing hospitality teams. Strong operational, financial, and people management skills. Exceptional guest relations and hosting abilities. Hands-on management style with excellent attention to detail. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospitality management systems. Fluent in English; Portuguese would be advantageous. Previous experience within a luxury hospitality environment is essential. Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the lodge across all departments. Deliver exceptional guest experiences through personalised service and attention to detail. Lead guest satisfaction initiatives, special occasions, and repeat guest programmes. Coordinate the Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Activities departments. Conduct daily quality inspections and maintain exceptional presentation standards throughout the property. Develop and implement training programmes for guest-facing teams. Mentor department heads and foster a culture of growth, accountability, and service excellence. Manage budgets, forecasting, expenditure, and operational costs. Lead recruitment, onboarding, and performance management processes. Support sustainability initiatives and community engagement programmes. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and local communities.
