As our Director of Business Systems, you will take overall business-wide responsibility for our global systems infrastructure and Salesforce ecosystem. By driving cross-functional alignment, you will safeguard business continuity with technical fail safes and execute systems-driven commercial projects. Your work directly ensures that our digital infrastructure seamlessly supports our core mission: developing the next generation of expert field guides and conservationists.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Salesforce Ecosystem Management: Strategically managing, scaling, and integrating a Salesforce ecosystem across a multi-departmental organisation.
Workflow Configuration: Acting as a hands-on Salesforce expert to independently, configure, customise, and build complex workflows, flows, and automations.
Infrastructure Optimisation: Managing and optimising booking infrastructure, data platforms, and automated workflow software from end to end.
Quality Assurance: Designing and implementing technical quality assurance mechanisms, including systemic fail safes and fail overs, to prevent business downtime.
Commercial Projects: Leading systems-driven commercial optimisation projects aimed specifically at improving the business's cash position and reducing cancellation rates.
Customer Journey Enhancements: Identifying and executing continuous system improvements to enhance the customer experience journey and customer communication touchpoints.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Managing cross-functional alignment to ensure seamless integration, training, and deployment of new digital tools across global business units.
Tech Stack Audits: Regularly auditing the organisation's tech stack to identify inefficiencies, negotiate vendor pricing, and execute migrations to more cost-effective tools.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
5+ years of experience in a role with overall business-wide responsibility for Systems in a medium-sized (50+ employees) or larger business.
Proven experience in strategically managing, scaling, and integrating a Salesforce ecosystem across a multi-departmental, global organisation.
Hands-on Salesforce expertise with the capability to independently, configure, customise, and build complex workflows, flows, and automations.
Demonstrated experience managing and optimising booking infrastructure, data platforms, and automated workflow software from end to end.
Experience designing and implementing technical quality assurance mechanisms, including systemic failsafes and failovers, to prevent business downtime.
Experience in identifying and executing system improvements to enhance the customer experience journey and customer communication.
Proven ability in managing cross-functional alignment to ensure seamless integration of new digital tools across global business units.
Led systems-driven commercial optimisation projects to improve a business's cash position.
Experience regularly auditing an organisation's tech stack to identify inefficiencies, negotiate pricing, or migrate to more cost-effective tools.
Bonus if you also have:
Track record of successfully leading systems-driven commercial optimisation projects to improve a business's cash position and reduce cancellation rates.
Experience of the key commercial issues in the travel sector.
