As our Sales Manager, you will lead the conversion of qualified international B2C leads into bookings for our global training courses. By optimising remote team efficiency, managing strategic discounting frameworks, and forecasting revenue accurately, you directly drive the organisation's growth and financial stability. Your leadership ensures our educational cohorts remain fully booked, enabling Bushwise to deliver life-changing transformation to the next generation of expert field guides.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Team Leadership & Performance: Manage, motivate, and hold a remote sales team strictly accountable to targets and KPIs, cultivating a competitive, supportive environment and implementing Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) when necessary.
Pipeline & Yield Optimisation: Drive urgency around course intake dates, application deadlines, and capacity limits, strategically balancing fixed constraints (like bed space) with high-value bookings.
Pricing & Discounting Governance: Collaborate with executive leadership to determine global product pricing, tuition structures, and payment plans, while designing and governing a discounting framework that protects margins.
CRM Architecture & Analytics: Optimise Salesforce workflows, lead assignment rules, and lead scores to maximise efficiency, while maintaining custom dashboards in Salesforce and Looker Studio.
Revenue Forecasting: Analyse historical data, conversion rates, and pipeline velocity to provide executive leadership with accurate, forward-looking revenue forecasts.
Sales Communication Optimisation: Create, test, and refine high-converting sales scripts, templates, and omni-channel messaging flows across email, text, and WhatsApp.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Operate as a strategic peer to Department Heads across Marketing, Finance, and Operations to align on lead generation and ensure a seamless handover of participants.
Financial & Logistical Guidance: Oversee the team’s ability to navigate complex multi-currency transactions and international transfers, and onboard third-party student financing providers.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
5+ years of experience in high-ticket B2C sales.
5+ years of experience selling to Gen Z and Millennial audiences, with a deep understanding of their buying behaviours and preferences.
5+ years of experience managing sales pipelines and converting leads within South Africa and the UK.
1+ years of experience successfully managing and motivating a remote sales team.
Proven capability in collaborating with executive leadership to determine product pricing, tuition structures, and payment plan frameworks for different global markets.
Experience designing and governing formal discounting, scholarship, or incentive frameworks that enable the team to close deals without eroding gross profit margins.
Practical experience analysing historical data and conversion metrics to provide accurate forward-looking revenue forecasts.
Proven experience managing volume versus yield optimisation against fixed capacity constraints.
Demonstrated experience optimising CRM workflows, assignment rules, automated touchpoints, and tracking team pipelines within Salesforce.
Experience building custom dashboards and reports in Salesforce to track team metrics and regional performance.
Experience managing a sales team’s leads, tasks, and pipelines within Salesforce.
Experience creating high-converting sales scripts and templates across email, text, and WhatsApp.
Experience managing sales cycles involving multi-currency transactions, international wire transfers, and financing plans.
Experience operating as a peer to Department Heads across Marketing, Finance, and Operations to align on strategic activities.
Bonus if you also have:
5+ years of experience managing sales pipelines and converting leads within the US and EU.
Extensive experience using Looker Studio or an equivalent platform for building distributable performance reports.
A deep understanding of South African bush careers, the field guiding industry, and the wildlife conservation industry.
Experience managing underperformance, implementing formal PIPs, and holding remote team members strictly accountable to KPIs.
Experience building a proactive remote team culture to prevent burnout and keep a high-turnover demographic motivated.
Experience in onboarding third-party student financing or educational loan providers.
