A growing company is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their team. This role suits someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and can confidently manage multiple accounting and administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full monthly accounting processing
- Debtors, creditors, bank and inter-company reconciliations
- Maintaining fixed asset registers
- Assisting with VAT reconciliations and submissions
- Month-end and year-end journal processing
- Assisting with audit preparation
- Managing investor account updates and monthly statements
- Preparing monthly cash flow forecasts
- General finance and accounting support
Requirements:
- Previous accounting / bookkeeping experience
- Completed articles advantageous but not essential
- Strong reconciliation and numerical skills
- Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines
- Professional, confidential, and organised approach

Salary:
R30,000 per month
