Job Summary
EVENTS/FRONT OF HOUSE ASSISTANT/ EAST LONDON – Valid code 08 Driver’s license, and own vehicle required (NON-NEGOTIABLE). This role is located in Cintsa, applicants must be prepared to travel daily, or source accommodation in the area.
Minimum Requirements;
· Matric plus 2 years in hospitality.
· Skillset required – Strong leadership, Operations, Guest Service, Problem-solving, Hygiene standards, Conflict resolution, POS and computer skills, and Time management.
Responsibilities;
Manage the front of house; seating guests, and ensuring exceptional service
Handle service complaints from guests
Guest feedback, relay onto Management
Oversee front of house staff in restaurants
Manage and delegate staff during events
Escalate staff issues to Senior Management
Respond to e-mails
Place orders for any décor required for events
Set-up of conferences and events
General stock take of all event equipment
Handle viewings/meetings with clients, should Event Manager not be available
Managing bookings/walkins for front of house
Designs/prints in-house stationery when necessary
Assist with Golf Days when required
Help with hotel room checks to ensure rooms up to standard
Conduct monthly Clubmaster vs Semper reports
Oversee Laundry and monthly reconciling and signing off of invoices
Drafting of quotations for conferences/events/weddings
Assist with daily cash ups when necessary
Assist with reconciliation of Clubmaster accounts
Conduct reconciliation of pay fast transactions
Salary – Market related
