This senior leadership role is ideally suited to a strategic finance leader who can confidently navigate the complexity of an asset-intensive luxury lodge portfolio in Tanzania alongside the high-volume, service-driven revenue engine of a United States-based travel agency. The position calls for a commercially sharp and operationally grounded executive who understands both the realities of remote hospitality operations and the pace of international travel distribution. Operating from South Africa, the successful candidate will assume full responsibility for the financial sustainability and performance of the group across South Africa, Tanzania and the United States — guiding responsible growth, ensuring disciplined capital allocation and maintaining careful oversight of cash flow across multiple currencies. A key priority will be the development of a practical risk matrix and the establishment of strong governance practices and clear reporting structures to ensure accurate, consolidated financial information across all jurisdictions. ??? ???????????????? Take strategic ownership of the group's financial performance across South Africa, Tanzania and the United States, including capital allocation, asset management and growth feasibility modelling. Manage multi-currency treasury across USD, TZS and ZAR — including forex hedging, liquidity planning and profit repatriation in compliance with SA and Tanzanian exchange controls. Establish and enforce a disciplined group reporting cycle, delivering Flash Results, entity Management Accounts and a consolidated Board Pack with variance commentary and cash forecasts on a strict monthly timeline. Monitor and analyse hospitality and agency KPIs (RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, CAC, LTV) to support pricing, yield management and commercial decision-making. Implement robust governance, internal controls and SOPs across all remote sites; oversee tax compliance with TRA (Tanzania), IRS (USA) and SARS (South Africa), including inter-company transfer pricing. Develop and maintain a risk matrix covering financial, operational, regulatory and currency risks, and ensure appropriate safeguards are in place across the group. ???????????? A recognised professional financial qualification: CA(SA), CIMA or equivalent. 8+ years in senior financial leadership within luxury hospitality, lodge operations or inbound tourism, including multi-country structures and cross-border financial management. Demonstrated experience in complex multi-currency environments: treasury management, liquidity planning and foreign exchange risk. Sound working knowledge of South African exchange control regulations and their practical implications for inter-company transactions. Proven ability to establish disciplined reporting frameworks delivering timely, accurate and decision-ready financial information at executive and shareholder level. Experience strengthening governance and internal control environments across geographically dispersed or remote operations. Proficiency in modern cloud-based accounting platforms (Xero, NetSuite or equivalent) and comfortable aligning financial systems with operational and property management tools.
