HR Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to support employee relations, workplace investigations, payroll administration and immigration-related HR matters for our international team. This role is ideal for a practical, detail-oriented HR professional with hands-on experience supporting UK or US employees, who is confident learning and applying Australian employment legislation, awards and workplace practices.
This is a part-time position starting at 25 hours per week, with the potential to become a full-time role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employee complaints, grievances and workplace investigations
- Support disciplinary and performance management processes
- Assist with payroll administration and employee records
- Interpret and apply employment awards and workplace policies
- Support immigration and employee documentation processes
- Prepare HR letters, reports, policies and investigation outcomes
- Provide practical HR advice to managers and employees
- Learn and apply Australian employment legislation and workplace requirements

- Relevant HR qualification
- Proven experience as an HR Manager, HR Generalist or Employee Relations Specialist
- Previous HR experience supporting UK or US employees
- Strong experience in complaints, investigations and employee relations
- Knowledge of payroll processes and employment awards
- Exposure to immigration-related HR matters is highly desirable
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential matters
- Willing and able to learn Australian HR rules quickly and legislation
