We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Food and Beverage Manager with strong kitchen skills for our established, off-grid destination, Plettenberg Bay. About the Restaurant We are a fully established restaurant serving Country Kitchen Style cuisine and Pizza, and in house bakery. We also offer events,(kids parties, music concerts, weddings, beer fests, shows). We also have a retail and farm store, entertainment and linked businesses incorporating adventure-based activities. We are based on a farm alongside N2. The Opportunity This opportunity is ideal for a passionate culinary professional who combines exceptional cooking ability with strong leadership skills. We are looking for a manager who can inspire and develop a high-performing kitchen team while consistently delivering outstanding culinary experiences that reflects the quality and reputation of the business. Key Responsibilities: Kitchen Leadership & Operations: Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring smooth execution of events and dining services. Menu Development: Design and implement creative, diverse, meals that taste and look exceptional. Culinary Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate new techniques, flavours, and dietary trends. Team Management: Train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and professional work environment. Quality Control: Ensure food is consistently prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and safety. Cost & Inventory Management: Develop and maintain budgets, oversee food purchasing, and control waste to maximize efficiency and profitability. Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations, health codes, and company policies. Client Collaboration: Work closely with customers and event planners to tailor menus that align with event themes, budgets, and dietary preferences. Vendor Relations: Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best quality ingredients and cost-effective procurement.
