Disruptive Recruitment is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to grow our portfolio of recruitment clients across Australia.
We provide fixed-fee permanent recruitment services to Australian businesses. Our team manages the full recruitment process, including role scoping, advertising, database searches, LinkedIn headhunting, screening and presenting carefully selected candidates.
This role is suited to someone who understands B2B sales, can speak confidently with Australian business owners and decision-makers, and knows how to turn a cold introduction into a genuine business conversation.
You will initially work 20 hours per week. There is an opportunity to progress into a full-time position as you settle into the role, build a reliable client pipeline and contribute to the growth of the company’s recruitment portfolio.
• Identify and engage Australian businesses with current or upcoming permanent recruitment needs.
• Build relationships with relevant decision-makers, including business owners, founders, CEOs, managing directors, general managers, COOs, operations managers, HR directors, HR managers, People and Culture leaders, talent acquisition managers, department heads, procurement managers and hiring managers.
• Set qualified appointments and hiring calls between prospective clients and the senior recruitment team.
• Confirm that each appointment involves an authorised decision-maker with a genuine recruitment requirement.
• Gather initial information about the business, available position, hiring challenges, salary range, required experience and recruitment timeline before the appointment.
• Present Disruptive Recruitment’s fixed-fee permanent recruitment model and explain the full recruitment service offered.
• Send capability statements, proposals, service agreements and other relevant information to prospective clients.
• Coordinate the preparation, issue and execution of Non-Disclosure Agreements, recruitment service agreements and other approved client documents.
• Follow up with authorised company representatives to ensure NDAs and service agreements are reviewed, signed and returned.
• Confirm that all required client documentation is completed before recruitment work begins.
• Maintain accurate CRM records of conversations, appointments, proposals, contracts, signatures and agreed next steps.
• Complete a clear handover to the recruitment team once the client agreement is signed and the vacancy is ready to be worked.
• Protect confidential business, client and candidate information throughout the business development and recruitment process.
• Previous experience in B2B business development, recruitment sales, appointment setting or outbound lead generation
• Recruitment agency business development experience will be highly regarded
• Experience selling services to Australian businesses is preferred
• A good understanding of permanent recruitment and the challenges businesses experience when hiring
• Confidence speaking with business owners, directors, operations managers and HR decision-makers
• Proven experience with cold calling, LinkedIn outreach and email prospecting
• Ability to qualify opportunities rather than simply book unqualified appointments
• Strong objection-handling, questioning and relationship-building skills
• Clear written and spoken English
• Professional telephone manner suited to the Australian market
• Experience using a CRM to manage leads, notes, follow-ups and sales stages
• Comfortable working with LinkedIn and online prospecting tools
• Able to work independently and manage a consistent daily outreach schedule
• Organised, accountable and comfortable working towards measurable targets
• Honest and accurate when reporting activity and pipeline progress
• Able to work remotely during agreed Australian business hours
• Reliable computer, stable internet connection, professional headset and backup connectivity
• Part-time remote position starting at 30 hours per week
• Base rate of USD $5 per hour
• Uncapped commission based on successfully converted new business and the approved company commission structure
• Working hours aligned with the agreed Australian business schedule
• Opportunity to progress into a full-time position as the employee settles into the role and grows the company’s client portfolio
• Full-time progression will be based on performance, qualified appointments, signed client agreements, revenue generated and consistent pipeline development
• Commission terms, qualifying criteria and payment dates will be explained before commencement
