RECEPTIONISTLuxury Private Game Reserve | Eastern Cape
Kendrick Recruitment is currently searching for a warm, well-presented and highly organised Receptionist for a world-renowned luxury private game reserve in the Eastern Cape, consistently recognised as one of South Africa’s premier safari destinations.
This role is the first point of contact for discerning local and international guests. The successful candidate will be professional, intuitive and genuinely passionate about delivering an exceptional guest experience from the very first interaction.
Position: Live-in (accommodation and meals provided)
Minimum Requirements
• Minimum 1–2 years’ reception or front office experience within a luxury lodge or hotel environment
• Relevant hospitality qualification advantageous
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with a property management system (Opera or similar) advantageous
• Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal
• Well-presented, well-spoken and professional manner
• Strong organisational and administrative ability
• Ability to multitask calmly in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Comfortable living and working in a remote bush environment
• Stable work history with contactable references
Key Responsibilities
• Manage all guest check-ins, check-outs and room allocations
• Handle incoming calls, emails and guest enquiries promptly and professionally
• Assist with reservations, booking confirmations and pre-arrival guest communication
• Maintain accurate guest profiles, preferences and records
• Liaise with guides, housekeeping and management to ensure seamless guest movements
• Process invoices, bills and related administrative tasks accurately
• Maintain the presentation and atmosphere of the reception area at all times
• Assist with general lodge administration as required
