Now Hiring Lodge Manager Location: Cederberg, Western Cape Property: Luxury Wilderness Lodge Position: Live-In Salary: R45,000 per month (DOE) About the Opportunity Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and hands-on Lodge Manager for a luxury wilderness lodge located in the spectacular Cederberg region. This opportunity is ideal for a hospitality professional with exceptional leadership skills, strong operational expertise, and a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the lodge's daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of service while leading a dedicated team in a remote wilderness environment. Key Requirements Minimum of 3 years' experience in lodge or hospitality management. Strong leadership and people management skills. Good culinary knowledge is essential. Proven financial management and budgeting experience. Hands-on; adaptable, and operationally driven. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated with a proactive and solution-focused approach. Ability to thrive in a remote wilderness environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the lodge. Deliver an exceptional guest experience from arrival through to departure. Lead and supervise all operational departments. Drive staff training, development, and service excellence. Oversee kitchen operations and maintain food service standards. Conduct regular inspections to ensure the highest levels of presentation and quality. Manage stock control, maintenance, vehicles, and guest facilities. Coordinate guest logistics, staff schedules, and daily operational requirements. Liaise with the Farm Manager and Head Office on operational matters. Manage budgets, financial performance, and supplier relationships. Support lodge operations during emergencies and environmental challenges. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will possess: A genuine passion for hospitality and exceptional guest service. A hands-on leadership style with the ability to lead by example. The ability to remain calm, adaptable, and solutions-focused under pressure. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence. Strong communication and team-building skills. A passion for creating unforgettable guest experiences within a luxury wilderness setting. Package Salary: R45,000 per month (DOE). Live-in accommodation and meals provided.
