Lodge Anchor (FOH, F&B & GM Relief) - 5-Star Luxury Safari Lodge - Madikwe Game Reserve, North West Kendrick Recruitment is searching for a dynamic, polished and highly capable Lodge Anchor for an intimate 5-star luxury safari lodge set within the pristine wilderness of the Madikwe Game Reserve, North West Province. This is the heartbeat role of the lodge's guest-facing operation. You will oversee front-of-house, food and beverage and administrative functions - and crucially, step confidently into the General Manager role as relief when required. We are looking for someone who leads from the front, takes genuine ownership and thrives in a remote lodge environment. Minimum Requirements: Minimum 3 to 5 years' relevant luxury lodge management experience - essential Proven experience in a luxury or boutique lodge or hotel environment Strong F&B knowledge including fine dining service, bush dining and beverage management Sound administrative and organisational ability Proficient in lodge/hotel management software (Semper, Nightsbridge or similar) Confident to step into a GM relief capacity - this is a non-negotiable requirement Natural leadership ability with a calm, solution-driven approach under pressure Excellent verbal and written English communication skills Well-presented; professional and culturally sensitive with international guests Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment Passionate about conservation, responsible tourism and the African wilderness Relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management or Tourism advantageous Stable work history with contactable references Key Responsibilities: ? Front of House & Guest Experience Oversee all FOH operations including check-in, check-out and guest correspondence Ensure a warm, professional first impression and seamless guest journey throughout Handle guest feedback, complaints and special requests with grace and efficiency ?️ Food & Beverage Supervise and coordinate all F&B service across à la carte dining, bush breakfasts, sundowners and special events Maintain meticulous standards of table presentation, service etiquette and beverage knowledge Collaborate with the kitchen team on menu planning, dietary requirements and special dining experiences ? Staff & Operations Train; mentor and motivate FOH and F&B team members to deliver consistent 5-star service Manage stock levels, cellar management, procurement and supplier relationships Oversee scheduling, reporting and administrative functions Ensure full compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations ? GM Relief Step into the General Manager role with full operational authority during the GM couple's off days or absence Maintain service standards, staff management and operational continuity during relief periods Package: Gross Salary: R18,000 to R23,000 per month (DOE) Live-in: Private standalone open-plan unit with kitchenette, lounge, bathroom, aircon and double bed - fully furnished Food allowance: R2,500 per month Rotation: 3 weeks on / 1 week off (7 days off per month) Annual leave: 21 days per annum (after 12 months of employment) Provident Fund contribution available Should you feel you are the right fit for this role, please apply with your updated CV, contactable references and a recent head and shoulders photo ASAP! ?
