As the Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for the overall cleanliness, presentation, and aesthetic upkeep of all guest suites, public spaces, and lodge laundry. You will lead a dedicated team of housekeeping staff, instilling a culture of pride, precision, and warmth. This is a hands-on management role that requires you to be equally comfortable on the floor conducting room checks as you are behind a desk managing budgets, stock control, and procurement. Your ability to maintain the lodge’s exceptional standards whilst motivating your team and managing departmental resources will be the cornerstone of your success in this position. Requirements • Proven experience in a senior housekeeping management role within a 5-star hotel, lodge, or comparable luxury hospitality establishment. • Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate a large team. • Sound knowledge of housekeeping best practices, laundry management, and room presentation. • Strong administrative capabilities, including competency in procurement processes, stock control, and accurate inventory management. • Ability to compile, manage, and monitor departmental budgets and exercise sound financial judgment within cost parameters. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to manage reports, schedules, and correspondence efficiently. • Meticulous attention to detail, with a consistent and disciplined approach to quality control and daily room inspections. • Physically fit, resilient, and able to thrive in a remote, live-in lodge environment with a flexible working schedule. • Commitment to sustainable lodge operations and alignment with environmental and conservation principles. • Stable employment history with contactable references ➡ PLEASE NOTE – Although we appreciate all applications received, only candidates whose background and experience align closely with the requirements of this role will be contacted.
