Our client is seeking a highly organised, hands-on and proactive Service Coordinator to join our Cape Town team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and is confident coordinating technicians, vehicles, clients and daily service requirements.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that daily service operations run efficiently on schedule and to the required quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Service CoordinationPlan and adjust daily technician and vehicle allocations according to service requirements.
Adjust client routing in response to public holidays, changes and special requests.
Confirm service appointments and ensure bookings are honoured.
Track aborted or missed jobs and arrange rescheduling where required.
Conduct daily team briefings and issue service sheets, fuel cards and vehicle keys.
Monitor technician check-ins, daily progress and route adherence.
Provide real-time support and direction to service teams.
Ensure teams are appropriately uniformed, equipped with PPE and meeting time and service-quality targets.
Client & Team CommunicationAct as the main point of contact for clients regarding schedules, service status and delays.
Liaise with clients to confirm installation dates and service bookings.
Handle incoming client queries professionally and escalate complex complaints to the Service Manager.
Investigate minor complaints or missed services and implement immediate corrective action.
Follow up on quality issues and client feedback.
Systems & AdministrationOpen and close tickets on the service platform.
Log tickets relating to service discrepancies.
Conduct daily debriefs with field teams.
Maintain accurate physical and digital job records and ensure documentation is audit-ready.
Maintain control of handheld devices, including daily issuing, retrieval and staff sign-off.
Ensure all service records are accurate, complete and up to date.
Stock, Vehicles & FleetIssue and track consumables, fuel cards and vehicle keys.
Maintain accurate daily usage and issue logs.
Assist with monthly stock counts.
Manage daily vehicle checklists, including tyres, oil and roadworthiness checks.
Track fuel slips and usage.
Support fleet servicing schedules and maintain relevant compliance documentation.
Performance & Operational SupportMonitor key service performance indicators, including:
On-time performance
Technician attendance
Job completion
Route adherence
Handheld device usage
Identify performance gaps and escalate issues appropriately.
Use service data and system outputs to support daily operational decisions, including rerouting, resource reallocation and escalation timing.
Support the Service Manager in managing service-delivery risks and customer escalations.
Understand how operational data impacts service outcomes, productivity and customer satisfaction.

Experienced in using or managing handheld/mobile devices and digital service data.
Comfortable working with digital documentation, reports and operational data.
