Job Summary
Our expanding client in Maitland, Cape Town is looking for an HR Manager with strong leadership qualities to oversee and manage their workforce. This role requires someone who is assertive, disciplined and capable of handling a large team with authority and fairness.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Diploma / Higher Certificate in HR Management (NQF6)
- Minimum 5 years’ HR experience
- Good understanding of South African labour legislation (Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations, etc.
- Proven track record of managing 100+ staff members
- Strong managerial and leadership skills
- Able to enforce company policies and ensure compliance
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Resilient personality - able to handle pressure and maintain discipline
- Working Hours: 06:00 - 15:00 (Mon - Fri) and Sat 06:00 - 10:00

Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Selection: Managing the full recruitment cycle, from placing job adverts to sourcing, screening, conducting interviews and performing background checks
- Onboarding and Exit Management: Facilitating new employee orientation, preparing contracts and handling all exit processes, including conducting exit interviews
- HR Administration & Payroll: Processing payroll, ensuring accurate data loading, managing staff leave and maintaining accurate personnel files and records
- Industrial Relations (IR) and Compliance: Supporting disciplinary hearings and grievance procedures, managing employee relations and ensuring compliance with labor legislation (such as BCEA, LRA, and Employment Equity)
- Performance Management: Assisting line managers with performance evaluations and implementing performance improvement plans
- Reporting: Providing monthly HR reports to management regarding staff turnover, absenteeism, and HR metrics
