Job Summary
A well-established fine dining restaurant in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town is seeking a Junior Chef de Partie to join its kitchen brigade.
This opportunity is ideal for a strong Commis Chef or Junior CDP looking to further develop their skills within a professional fine dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing a designated kitchen section
- Prepare ingredients and menu items to required standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen
- Follow recipes and instructions provided by senior chefs
- Assist with stock rotation and stock control
- Support service during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Junior Chef de Partie
- Fine dining experience advantageous
- Relevant culinary qualification
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Own reliable transport essential
- Available to work weekends, evenings and public holidays
