Role purpose
The Digital Media Buyer & Data Analyst will support with planning, executing, optimising and reporting on digital media campaigns across relevant paid-media platforms.
The role combines hands-on media buying with strong data analysis. The successful candidate will help ensure campaigns are launched accurately, budgets are managed effectively, performance is continuously improved and stakeholders receive clear, actionable reporting.
Key responsibilities
Digital media buying
Assist with the planning and execution of digital media campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, programmatic display and other relevant channels.
Build, launch and manage campaigns in line with approved media plans, budgets, timelines and objectives.
Manage campaign setup, including audiences, targeting, placements, bidding strategies, tracking parameters and creative specifications.
Monitor campaign pacing and ensure budgets are spent accurately and efficiently.
Conduct ongoing campaign optimisation to improve reach, engagement, traffic, leads, conversions and return on investment.
Support audience research, keyword research, competitor analysis and media-channel selection.
Coordinate with creative, content and account teams to ensure that campaign assets are delivered on time and meet platform requirements.
Perform campaign quality assurance before launch and troubleshoot delivery or tracking issues.
Stay informed about platform updates, emerging digital channels and media-buying best practices.
Data analytics and reporting
Collect, validate and consolidate campaign data from multiple platforms and analytics tools.
Maintain accurate dashboards, reporting templates and campaign trackers.
Prepare weekly, monthly and post-campaign performance reports.
Analyse performance against campaign objectives, benchmarks and agreed KPIs.
Translate data into clear insights, recommendations and next steps and other stakeholders.
Identify trends, opportunities, anomalies and areas of underperformance.
Support attribution, conversion tracking and measurement processes.
Help improve reporting efficiency through automation and standardised data practices.
Maintain accurate records of budgets, spend, campaign results and optimisation activity.
Collaboration and operational support
Work closely on media strategies, campaign priorities and performance reviews.
Provide reliable day-to-day campaign and reporting support.
Communicate campaign progress, risks and performance concerns proactively.
Participate in planning meetings, reporting sessions and campaign reviews.
Assist with presentations, media plans, forecasts and performance summaries.
Build productive working relationships with internal teams, clients, media partners and platform representatives where required.
Required skills and experience
Relevant qualification in marketing, advertising, media, data analytics, business or a related discipline.
Experience in digital media buying, paid-media campaign management or performance marketing.
Working knowledge of platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager and Google Analytics 4.
Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including formulas, pivot tables and data manipulation.
Good understanding of digital marketing metrics, including CPM, CPC, CTR, CPA, CPL, conversion rate, ROAS and ROI.
Ability to interpret campaign data and turn findings into practical recommendations.
Strong numerical ability and exceptional attention to detail.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines and priorities.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
A proactive, curious and solutions-focused approach
Advantageous skills
Experience with Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau or another data-visualisation platform.
Experience with TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, programmatic platforms or additional paid-media channels.
Knowledge of Google Tag Manager, tracking pixels, UTM structures and conversion tracking.
Experience with e-commerce, CRM or marketing-automation data.
Familiarity with SQL or other data-analysis tools.
Relevant Google, Meta or analytics certifications.
