Our Client, a leading international strategic management consulting firm is seeking an experienced Engagement Manager to join its Commercial Excellence & Performance Improvement practice.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced consultant who enjoys solving complex commercial challenges through structured problem solving, commercial diagnostics, financial modelling and data-driven analysis. Working alongside Principals and Consulting Managers, you will lead key workstreams across high-impact strategy, commercial excellence and transformation engagements, partnering with senior client stakeholders to deliver measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead workstreams across complex commercial excellence, strategy and performance improvement engagements.
- Structure business problems, develop hypotheses and design analytical approaches to solve complex client challenges.
- Lead commercial diagnostics across pricing, sales effectiveness, contracting, margin optimisation and commercial processes.
- Build and oversee commercial and financial models to support strategic decision-making and value creation initiatives.
- Design practical commercial improvement tools, frameworks and templates to support implementation and long-term capability building.
- Develop executive-ready presentations, business cases and insight-driven recommendations for senior client stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops, validate findings and engage confidently with executives, client teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Mentor Consultants and Analysts, providing coaching, quality assurance and day-to-day guidance.
- Support project planning, governance, risk management and delivery across multiple workstreams.
- Contribute to thought leadership, capability development and business development initiatives within the consulting practice.
Requirements:
- Postgraduate qualification in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or another relevant discipline (MBA, CFA or similar advantageous).
- 4–7 Years' experience within management consulting, commercial excellence, strategy & operations, commercial analytics, business performance improvement or a similar consulting environment.
- Proven experience leading analytical workstreams or modules on complex, client-facing consulting engagements.
- Strong commercial diagnostics capability, including pricing, margin analysis, sales effectiveness, commercial process assessment and financial modelling.
- Experience translating complex analysis into practical recommendations, business cases and executive-level presentations.
- Exposure to implementing commercial or operational improvements, including supporting rollout, adoption, training and capability building.
- Strong analytical, structured problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Experience mentoring or coaching junior consultants or analysts and maintaining a high standard of analytical quality.
