Infrastructure Advisory Manager (Transport & PPP)

Our client, a leading international consulting firm specialising in transport and infrastructure advisory across Africa, is seeking in Infrastructure Advisory Manager with experience in transport infrastructure, public sector advisory, PPP transactions and project finance to join a leading consulting firm in Cape Town.

This opportunity is ideal for a consulting professional with experience in infrastructure advisory, project finance, Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), public sector financing and financial modelling. You will lead complex advisory engagements, working with government, development finance institutions and private sector clients to deliver strategic infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead consulting engagements within the transport and infrastructure sector.
• Develop business cases, feasibility studies and financial models for major infrastructure projects.
• Advise clients on project finance, financial structuring and investment strategies.
• Present recommendations to senior stakeholders across government, development finance institutions and the private sector.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and mentor junior consultants.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.

Essential Requirements

• Relevant degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Actuarial Science or a related quantitative discipline.
• 5–7 years' experience in infrastructure advisory, management consulting, project finance or public sector advisory.
• Proven experience in financial modelling, feasibility studies and business case development.
• Experience working on infrastructure, transport or PPP projects.
• Exposure to government, municipalities, SOEs or development finance institutions will be highly advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated leadership experience within consulting or advisory environments.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.

Highly Advantageous

• Public-Private Partnership (PPP) advisory experience.
• Infrastructure or transport sector consulting experience.
• Project finance or infrastructure investment experience.
• A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.

This role is best suited to candidates who combine strong analytical capability with consulting expertise and experience advising on infrastructure or public sector projects.

Please note: While financial modelling is a key requirement, candidates whose experience is limited to corporate finance, valuation or investment banking without exposure to infrastructure or public sector advisory are unlikely to be a strong fit.

Location: Cape Town-based or willing to relocate.
