WatersEdge Solutions is partnering with a fast-growing global HR technology business to recruit a detail-oriented and analytically strong Payroll Analyst – LATAM. This is a hands-on role for someone with multi-country payroll experience who is confident working across LATAM and North American markets, managing payroll inputs, statutory requirements, reconciliations, and issue resolution in a fast-paced international environment.
About the RoleAs Payroll Analyst – LATAM, you will support accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll delivery across assigned LATAM, North American, and selected global markets. You’ll work closely with Payroll, Operations, Legal, Product, Automation, and Service teams to ensure country-specific payroll requirements are correctly reflected in systems, controls, and operational processes.
This role requires fluent English and Spanish, with Portuguese preferred for supporting Brazil. It is well suited to someone who enjoys solving complex payroll issues, improving processes, and helping build scalable payroll operations across multiple jurisdictions.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport end-to-end monthly payroll delivery across assigned LATAM, North American, and selected global markets
Gather, review, and validate payroll inputs, including new hires, salary changes, bonuses, leave, deductions, and terminations
Review payroll calculations and outputs for accuracy
Investigate discrepancies and complete payroll reconciliations
Maintain payroll calendars, checklists, trackers, validation rules, SOPs, and knowledge base content
Support statutory payroll obligations, including taxes, social contributions, reporting, and filing deadlines
Respond to payroll queries across LATAM and North American working hours
Liaise with local payroll experts in Spanish and, where relevant, Portuguese
Communicate payroll findings and requirements to internal stakeholders in English
Support new payroll market onboarding, process mapping, testing, and operational readiness
Assist with provider transitions and payroll insourcing initiatives
Identify opportunities to improve payroll controls, documentation, accuracy, efficiency, and automation
What You’ll Bring2–5 years of experience in payroll analysis, payroll operations, payroll processing, payroll implementation, or a related operational/compliance role
Hands-on experience supporting end-to-end payroll processes
Strong knowledge of payroll practices and statutory requirements in at least one LATAM or North American market
Experience with payroll inputs, validations, calculations, reconciliations, and employee lifecycle changes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership
Ability to manage multi-country payroll workstreams and deadlines
Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
Comfortable working with spreadsheets, process tools, and payroll systems
Ability to work effectively across LATAM and North American time zones
Nice to HaveProfessional proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese
Experience across multiple payroll jurisdictions
Exposure to payroll implementation, insourcing, or provider transitions
Relevant qualification such as CA, BCom, or similar
Strong Excel skills
Experience with Monday.com or similar workflow tools
Exposure to automation or payroll process improvement initiatives
