WatersEdge Solutions is partnering with a high-growth global HR technology business to recruit an experienced Operations Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an operationally driven professional who enjoys solving complex problems, improving processes, and bringing structure to fast-moving environments.
This is not a traditional payroll role. Instead, you'll own the operational delivery across multiple international territories, ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams and global partners while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
About the RoleAs Operations Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end operational delivery across a portfolio of international territories. You'll coordinate complex workflows, manage partner relationships, resolve operational challenges, and lead initiatives that improve scalability and efficiency.
This is a highly visible individual contributor role with strategic influence. While you won't have direct reports, you'll mentor junior team members, influence operational standards, and help shape a world-class global operations function within a rapidly scaling business.
Key ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end operational delivery across multiple international territories
Coordinate global workflows, data flows, partners, and critical deadlines
Manage complex operational escalations and drive timely resolution
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and international partners
Hold partners accountable to agreed service levels and operational standards
Develop strong knowledge of global payroll operations and associated processes
Identify operational risks and implement preventative solutions
Drive process improvement and automation initiatives from concept to implementation
Design scalable operational processes that improve efficiency and accuracy
Deliver high-impact projects while managing competing priorities
Mentor and support junior team members by sharing knowledge and best practices
Contribute to evolving operational initiatives across the wider business
What You'll BringRelevant tertiary qualification
3–5 years of operational management experience within a process-driven environment
Experience owning operational processes and delivering against strict deadlines
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Proven ability to improve processes and drive operational efficiencies
Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills
Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Strong organisational and project management skills
High levels of accountability and ownership
Comfortable working with technology and operational systems
Positive, collaborative, and solutions-focused mindset
Nice to HaveExperience within a startup, scale-up, or global operations environment
Exposure to Employer of Record (EOR), HR Tech, SaaS, or payroll operations
Experience leading automation or operational transformation initiatives
Knowledge of global payroll processes
Experience mentoring or coaching junior team members
