The Core Responsibilities:
To teach primary school level coding and robotics
Encouraging learner interest and research in innovation and technology: coordinating the development of Innovation and Technology including moderation, recording, reporting and analysing results
Undertake class teaching, creating a learning environment which enables all learners to be productively engaged in individual and cooperative learning, applying sound lesson planning which is logical and sequential
Undertake to stay abreast of new technologies and innovation
Collaborate with teachers to integrate projects with a focus on technology concepts and operations and innovationork collaboratively with the team to define benchmarks for a technology and innovation curriculum and integration
Know and use a range of forms of assessment techniques to continuously maximise learner achievement and raise the standards of teaching and learning, delivering optimal results
The appointee in this role must ideally have the following:
Fully qualified - B.ED or Undergrad with relevant PGCE
REQV 13 Education qualification is a minimum requirement; REQV 14 would be an advantage
In-depth knowledge of robotics, technology and innovation
A professional track record of excellence, both personally and professionally
Registration with the South African Council of Educators (SACE)
Police Clearance
Valid driver’s license
Google Suite training advantageous
