The Salaries and wages department require a process-driven, attentive to detail and organized individual to join their team. This position requires an efficient individual who is able to work in a fast-paced environment and is able to meet deadlines.
Duties & responsibilities include but are not limited to:
To accurately and timeously process and check the SA Metal payroll of ±500 employees [Total number of employees on the Company payroll 1650+]
Accurately process timesheets ensuring deadlines are met
Accurately calculate overtime and leave payments
Ensure third party deductions are processed, and payments are made as per the indicated deadline
Process statutory deductions such as; PAYE, UIF, WCA, etc.
Maintain payroll records in line with statutory requirements.
Calculating allowances, shift payments and CTC proposals
Answering staff queries
Liaise with Human Capital regarding remuneration matters
Qualifying Criteria:
Matric or equivalent
Payroll Diploma or qualification
5 + years of experience processing payroll for a large organization (>1000 employees)
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office) -- create spreadsheets, communicate per e-mail, compile reports and present data in tabulated form, numerical and descriptive accuracy are essential
Good telephone etiquette
Working knowledge of Time & Attendance software
Experience of working in a service orientated division and environment
Accsys Peopleware experience advantageous

Proven attention to detail and accuracy
Deadline driven and prepared to work overtime when required
Strong organizing, planning, decision making and analytical skills
Ability to multi-task and manage a demanding workload in a pressurized environment

Be able to work both independently and in a team
Commitment to a strong business ethic and integrity
