Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
Manage the branch's operations and staff
Ensure scrap metal is purchased at the correct grade and weight, and that all purchase and dispatch records are accurately maintained and reconciled
Ensure full compliance with the Second-Hand Goods Act, including accurate recording of all information required under the Act
Manage stock control, inventory accuracy and cash
Lead the branch staff to meet daily operational and purchasing targets
Manage staff discipline, timekeeping and attendance directly - including initiating and running disciplinary processes where required
Maintain vigilance against theft, fraud, bribery and dishonesty, and escalate any suspected irregularities immediately to senior management
Maintain strong customer relations and resolve customer complaints professionally
Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations
Prepare accurate daily, weekly and monthly operational and financial reports for senior management
Work closely with senior management and other branch managers to share best practice across sites
