IBCO is a dynamic and fast-growing manufacturer operating in an exciting and essential industrial sector. We are looking for a hands-on Quality Assurance Manager to lead and strengthen our quality and compliance function as the business continues to scale.
To lead, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and HSE compliance framework, ensuring that products, processes, and people meet internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.
The role manages a small team of Quality Assurance Controllers and works closely with Production, Maintenance, and Operations leadership.
Key Responsibilities & Outputs include, but are not limited to:
Quality Management & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain an effective Quality Management System across the factory.
- Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with approved SOPs, quality manuals, and work instructions.
- Own and manage non-conformance, deviation, corrective and preventative action (CAPA)
- Lead root cause analysis and drive sustainable corrective actions.
- Manage customer complaints, investigations, and closure within agreed timelines.
- Drive continual improvement initiatives based on manufacturing best practice and data analysis.
Audits, Risk & Governance
- Plan and lead internal audits, self-inspections, and quality reviews.
- Ensure readiness for external audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Implement and maintain an annual risk assessment schedule aligned to operational risk.
- Track quality KPIs and report trends, risks, and improvement actions to management.
HSE Oversight (in collaboration with Operations)
- Ensure HSE standards and legal requirements are implemented and maintained.
- Support incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
- Promote a strong safety and quality culture across the factory floor.
People & Capability
- Lead, coach, and develop a Quality Assurance team.
- Ensure staff are trained, competent, and compliant with SOPs and quality standards.
- Work cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams.
Laboratory & Controls
- Maintain quality control systems, testing protocols, and laboratory practices where applicable.
- Ensure measurement, inspection, and documentation standards are consistently applied.
Minimum Qualifications
- BSc / BEng / BTech / Diploma in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
- ISO 9001 / ISO 45001 / Six Sigma certification advantageous
Experience & Technical Competence
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or process-driven environment
- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer, Process Specialist, or Quality Manager
- Strong understanding of SOP-driven environments and compliance systems
- Exposure to audits, risk management, and corrective action systems

Package & Remuneration
- Performance-based contract
- Salary Range depending on experience and qualification: R35,000 – R45,000 per month (CTC)
