Our client is seeking an experienced Manager: Branch to oversee the end-to-end parcel cycle, ensuring productivity, customer satisfaction, and financial discipline. Whether managing a small, medium, or large branch, you will be responsible for translating strategy into execution, leading people and fleet resources, and maintaining service levels that meet demanding client expectations.
This role spans operational planning, route optimisation, budget control, governance, compliance, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and people leadership. You will ensure that all branch assets, systems, and outsourced partners are managed effectively while fostering a strong safety and service culture.

What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement the branch operations plan aligned to business strategy
- Manage end-to-end collections, deliveries, and parcel flow
- Monitor branch KPIs and adjust resources to meet service and cost targets
- Optimise route planning, fleet utilisation, and labour productivity
- Control budgets, cartage costs, overtime, and leave provisions
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, contracts, and audit requirements
- Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning
- Produce operational, financial, and quality reports for management
- Drive continuous improvement and support strategic projects
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping
- Ensure successful implementation of new client contracts
What You Bring
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
- Proven operational leadership experience within courier, transport, or logistics
- Experience managing branch operations, fleet, and service delivery
- Strong budgeting, cost control, and commercial acumen
- Sound knowledge of labour legislation and compliance requirements
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Excellent route planning and analytical capability
- Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick, informed decisions
