Executive / Head Housekeeper Location: Greater Kruger, Limpopo Property: Luxury Safari Lodge Position: Live-In Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience About the Opportunity Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Executive / Head Housekeeper for a prestigious luxury safari lodge in the Greater Kruger, Limpopo This is a fully operational role, the successful candidate will be actively working in the rooms and guest areas on a daily basis, not simply conducting checks or overseeing from a distance. The ideal candidate will combine excellent management ability with a genuine willingness to lead from the front and maintain impeccable standards throughout the property. Key Requirements • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a senior housekeeping role within a luxury lodge or hotel. • Proven hands-on experience in guest room preparation and turndown to a luxury standard. • Strong leadership and team management skills. • Excellent attention to detail and high presentation standards. • Knowledge of stock control, linen management, and laundry operations. • Physically fit and able to work actively throughout each shift. • Reliable, trustworthy, and professional at all times. • Valid driver's licence advantageous. Key Responsibilities • Actively perform and oversee the daily cleaning, preparation, and presentation of guest rooms and suites. • Conduct regular inspections to ensure rooms and all guest-facing areas meet luxury lodge standards. • Lead, train, and manage the housekeeping team. • Manage linen, laundry, stock control, and housekeeping supplies. • Liaise with the lodge management team regarding guest arrivals, special requests, and maintenance issues. • Report and follow up on maintenance defects promptly. • Maintain strict hygiene and cleaning standards throughout the property. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will possess: • Hands-on and physically active approach to housekeeping management. • A genuine passion for luxury standards and guest experience. • Strong eye for detail with high personal pride in presentation. • Calm, professional, and a natural team leader. • Comfortable working and living in a remote, wildlife-rich environment.
