About the Opportunity Kendrick Recruitment is seeking multiple experienced and passionate Field Guides to join a private luxury safari lodge in the North West. We are looking for knowledgeable, professional, and guest-focused guides who take pride in delivering exceptional safari experiences and high-quality wildlife interpretation in a Big Five environment. Female guides are strongly encouraged to apply. Key Requirements • FGASA NQF4 Level 2 qualification essential. • Valid PDP and all relevant guiding licences. • Valid First Aid certification. • Strong communication and guest interaction skills. • Previous guiding experience in a reserve or lodge environment advantageous. • Professional, reliable, and team-oriented approach. • Passion for conservation, wildlife, and wilderness interpretation. Key Responsibilities • Conduct guided game drives and bush walks (where qualified). • Deliver high-quality interpretation of fauna, flora, and ecology. • Ensure guest safety at all times in the field. • Maintain vehicles, equipment, and adherence to lodge guiding standards. • Provide engaging, informative, and memorable guest experiences. • Build rapport with guests and personalise the safari experience. • Assist with general lodge support duties when required. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will possess: • Confident, grounded, and highly knowledgeable in the field. • A natural storyteller with excellent guest engagement skills. • Calm, safety-conscious, and responsible under pressure. • Passionate about conservation and delivering world-class safari experiences. • Comfortable working in a live-in, remote bush environment.
