DIRECTOR OF ROOMS An exceptional opportunity exists for an experienced and dynamic Director of Rooms to join a leading luxury resort operation. We are seeking a passionate hospitality professional with a proven track record in Rooms Division leadership, guest experience excellence, operational management, and financial performance within a 5-star environment. Key Areas of Responsibility: ✔ Lead and oversee Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, Concierge, Communications and Boutique Operations ✔ Drive exceptional guest satisfaction and service excellence across all touchpoints ✔ Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, expense control and revenue performance ✔ Develop, mentor and inspire departmental leaders and teams ✔ Ensure operational efficiency, compliance, quality standards and productivity targets ✔ Oversee VIP and guest relations management, service recovery and complaint resolution ✔ Collaborate closely with Sales, Events, F&B, Maintenance and Human Resources ✔ Act as Senior Duty Manager and operational leader when required Requirements: ▪ BTech Degree or National Diploma in Hospitality Management ▪ 3–5 years' experience in a comparable senior leadership role within a luxury hotel or resort ▪ Minimum 3–4 years' management experience within Rooms Division Operations in a 5-star environment ▪ Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting and revenue management ▪ Proficiency in Opera, Micros, Excel, Word and Outlook ▪ Exceptional leadership, communication and guest engagement skills ▪ South African citizenship essential ▪ Ability to thrive within a demanding 24-hour luxury hospitality operation This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on guest experience, operational excellence and team development within a prestigious hospitality environment.
