We are seeking a driven, detail-obsessed Assistant Housekeeping Manager to help lead a high-performing team and uphold exceptional standards across guest rooms, public spaces, laundry, and heart-of-house areas. This role calls for a hands-on leader who thrives on precision, team development, and operational excellence — someone who inspires through example and understands that immaculate presentation is at the heart of luxury hospitality. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring five-star service standards are consistently met Oversee guest rooms, public areas, laundry/valet, and uniform room operations Drive cleanliness, presentation, and design integrity across all spaces Monitor labour costs, productivity, and scheduling to align with financial targets Manage stock control, forecasting, and inventory reporting within budget guidelines Track and control departmental budgets, invoices, and cost efficiencies Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on stock usage and financial performance Support preventative maintenance programs in collaboration with Engineering Address guest concerns promptly and professionally Coach; train, and performance-manage team members to maintain LQA standards Assist with renovations, refurbishments, and décor programs Participate in Duty Manager shifts and lead by example in operational decision-making Requirements Proven experience in a luxury hotel housekeeping leadership role Strong financial acumen – budgeting, forecasting, stock management, reporting Solid understanding of luxury quality assurance standards Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills Confident leader with strong coaching and communication ability Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve challenges effectively If you are passionate about excellence, driven by standards, and ready to grow within an international luxury environment, this is your opportunity to step into a key leadership role in one of Cape Town’s premier hotels.
