Project Supervisor / Construction Project Manager

Purpose of the Role

The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of building and construction projects, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role also provides technical guidance to stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and project teams while managing project costs and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise building and construction projects from planning through to completion.

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, contractors, and other project stakeholders.

• Review and assist with project designs, layouts, specifications, and cost estimates.

• Ensure plans and documentation are submitted to relevant authorities and approvals are obtained.

• Monitor project schedules and ensure construction milestones are achieved.

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality workmanship, compliance with specifications, and adherence to safety standards.

• Coordinate contractors and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution.

• Review and process contractor payment claims and monitor project budgets.

• Evaluate project variations and assess their impact on costs and timelines.

• Prepare and maintain project progress reports, expenditure reports, and cashflow forecasts.

• Attend and facilitate site and project meetings.

• Ensure all health, safety, environmental, quality, and security requirements are met.

• Conduct final inspections, identify defects (snagging), and ensure corrective actions are completed.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• BSc/BTech in Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 6 years' experience within the construction industry.

• Proven experience managing construction projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
