Job Summary

An established hospitality company operating a luxury resort in Mozambique is seeking a dedicated Food & Beverage Manager / Assistant Resort Manager to lead their dynamic team. This leadership role is pivotal in driving the resort’s growth, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction.

Duties:

Manage and grow revenues to exceed set budgets.
Maximize operational efficiencies aligned with strategic objectives.
Oversee Human Resource functions including staff relations and development.
Monitor and control all Food & Beverage outlets and related property departments.
Maintain exemplary service standards across all service and associated property departments.
Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders, departments, external partners, and industry bodies.
Ensure workplace relations comply with relevant legislation, bylaws, and internal policies.
Implement best practices and stay abreast of industry trends in hospitality services.
Manage procurement, supplier relationships, stock control, and assets including stock takes and par stock levels.
Handle guest queries, requests, complaints, and oversee guest relations.
Oversee the entire resort operation to ensure smooth functioning, especially in the absence of the Resort Manager.

Requirements:

Proven experience in food and beverage, resort management, or hospitality.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar resort role, including guest and staff relations and administration.
Experience managing revenue streams, including timeshare.
Strong budgeting and operational financial management skills.
Own transport and valid driver’s license.
Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
Demonstrated management abilities.

Nice to Have:

Experience in management of multi-departmental teams.

What We'll Give You:

Salary: R30,000 - R32,000 per month (Cost to Company)
