Our client, a leading organization committed to excellence in the mining industry, is seeking a seasoned Senior Civil Engineer to contribute to the development of tailings storage facilities, return water dams, and essential mine infrastructure in Namibia. What You'll Do:
Lead the planning, scheduling, and design of tailings storage facilities (TSFs), return water dams (RWDs), and broader mine infrastructure.
Manage project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and standards are met, while reporting directly to Project Managers and Directors.
Perform surveillance and conduct annual audit inspections for TSFs and RWDs in an Engineer of Record (EoR) or supporting capacity.
Execute stability analyses, seepage modelling, and slope evaluations for various residue types.
Travel to operational sites to perform field investigations, monitoring inspections, and client meetings.
Draft proposals, appoint sub-consultants/sub-contractors, and oversee standard engineering contracts.
Delegate tasks and mentor graduate, junior, and intermediate engineers, fostering growth and development.
Requirements:
Namibian citizenship.
BEng or BSc Eng in Civil Engineering.
Between 5 to 7 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on Geotechnical, Tailings, and Mine Infrastructure.
Strong management and investigative skills.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and Microsoft Office.
