Duties:
Visit mines, factories, logistics companies, food plants, and construction sites to understand real-world working conditions.
Observe PPE usage and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Learn about SANS, ISO, and relevant PPE standards.
Understand the specific requirements for flame-retardant, acid-resistant, arc-rated, and reflective garments.
Analyze competitor trends and international workwear brands.
Develop 3 to 5 innovative product concepts annually.
Utilize tools such as AI design platforms to accelerate concept generation, technical documentation, and trend analysis.
Requirements:
Grade 12
Qualification in Fashion Design/ Clothing Design/ Product Design/ Textile Design
Own vehicle
A strong background in outdoor and formal clothing design
1– 3 years’ experience in Fashion Design, Product Development, Apparel Manufacturing or Product Management support.
Exposure to garment construction and product design principles.
Experience using design software
PPE industry experience/ Corporate clothing experience and Textile industry experience (advantageous)
