Tax Manager

Location: Diep River, Cape Town Employment Type: Full-time

PKF Constantia Valley Cape Town Inc. is seeking an experienced and driven Tax Manager to lead and oversee our tax department. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional with strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience within an accounting or audit practice environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of tax professionals managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance across all tax types, and providing expert tax guidance to both clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for the management, performance, and strategic direction of the Tax Department.

• Lead, supervise, mentor, and develop members of the tax team, ensuring high-quality service delivery and professional growth.

• Manage departmental workflow, resource allocation, deadlines, and client deliverables to ensure efficiency and compliance.

• Remain actively involved in the day-to-day tax compliance function, including the preparation, review, and submission of tax returns across all tax types.

• Drive continuous improvement within the department by implementing best practices, improving processes, and maintaining high professional standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or related tertiary qualification.

• Registered Tax Practitioner.

• SAIT membership or another recognised professional tax accreditation.

• Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience.

• At least 5 years' management or supervisory experience.

• Proven experience managing client tax portfolios and tax compliance processes.

• Strong understanding of corporate tax compliance requirements.
