At The President Hotel, Maintenance is about more than repairs. You’ll feel right at home in this role if you have foundational HVAC experience, are eager to grow your technical skills, and thrive in a structured commercial or hospitality environment. Minimum Requirements Relevant qualification or certification in Air Conditioning / Refrigeration Minimum 1–2 years’ practical experience working with HVAC systems Experience within a hotel, hospital, retail, or large commercial property environment advantageous Basic knowledge of split units, VRV/VRF systems, chillers, and ventilation systems Understanding of preventive maintenance processes Ability to read technical manuals and basic system diagrams Strong safety awareness and willingness to learn Valid South African ID CV must be fully updated prior to submission Key Responsibilities HVAC Maintenance & Support Assist with inspections, servicing, and repairs of air conditioning and ventilation systems across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. Preventive Maintenance Support the implementation of scheduled maintenance to minimise system downtime and ensure optimal performance. Fault-Finding & Repairs Assist senior technicians in diagnosing and resolving HVAC-related issues efficiently and safely. Compliance & Safety Follow all health, safety, and hotel compliance standards while maintaining proper lock-out procedures and safe working practices. Operational & Event Support Provide HVAC support for conferences, events, and peak operational periods to ensure uninterrupted guest comfort. Record Keeping Update maintenance logs and ensure accurate reporting of completed work and outstanding tasks.
