General Manager: Finance to join an established multinational automotive business. Operating within a complex, high-volume vehicle import and distribution environment, this organisation works closely with international stakeholders to deliver operational excellence, drive profitability, and support long-term growth.
As part of the executive leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy and performance. Reporting directly to the Finance Director and CEO, this is a career-defining role offering full financial oversight, strategic influence, and the ability to make a tangible impact across the business.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and develop the finance team (9 direct reports), overseeing the full finance function and month-end processes
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and the preparation of executive and Board-level reporting packs
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and foreign exchange exposure in a dynamic trading environment
- Ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and audit readiness
- Provide insightful financial analysis to guide strategic and operational decision-making
- Strengthen governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks
- Champion continuous improvement and team capability development
Requirements:- Qualified CA(SA) (essential)
- Minimum 3 years’ post-articles experience with strong exposure to financial management and leadership
- Demonstrated success in leading finance teams and managing end-to-end financial operations
- Solid commercial finance experience, including cash flow optimisation and FX management
- Exposure to automotive, manufacturing, or complex distribution industries will be highly advantageous
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling expertise, with strong analytical ability
- Executive presence with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
