Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Oversee financial reporting, compliance (IFRS, tax), and board reporting
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and funding structures
- Build and maintain strong relationships with lenders, investors, and stakeholders
- Drive cost control, plant profitability, and operational efficiencies
- Lead governance, risk management, and audit processes
- Provide oversight of HR, IT, and broader support functions
- Act as a strategic partner to the executive team and board
Job Experience and Skills Required
- Education: CA(SA) or equivalent qualification
- Experience:
- Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in finance, with proven leadership at a senior level
- Strong background within manufacturing or industrial environments
- Demonstrated experience in cash flow optimisation and working capital management
- Exposure to funding structures, banking relationships, and stakeholder engagement
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management ability
- Commercial acumen and strategic thinking
- Advanced financial reporting and analytical capabilities
- Advantageous:
- Automotive or OEM supply chain exposure
- Experience in unionised environments and industrial relations
