Our client is an established agricultural and farming business in the Kirkwood area, with multiple farming operations and a strong focus on efficient financial management. Our client is seeking to employ an experienced Accountant who is confident in managing the full accounting function from A–Z and can take ownership of the financial administration for two farming entities.
Key responsibilities
Manage the full accounting function from A–Z for two farming entities
Prepare and manage month-end reporting
Manage and monitor cash flow
Prepare and submit VAT returns, including diesel rebates
Perform general financial accounting and reconciliations
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure financial deadlines are met
Requirements
Previous experience in a similar Accountant position
BCom Degree would be advantageous
Xero experience is crucial
Proficient in Excel – crucial
Strong accounting knowledge and attention to detail
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Farming/agricultural background would be advantageous
