Job Summary
This position involves:
Overseeing the bookkeeping function for clients
Performing the payroll function of allocated clients
Building and managing client relationships and ensuring compliance
Planning and managing all client deliverables
Preparing and submitting tax returns, provisional tax, payroll, EMP201, VAT recons and related returns
Utilising CRM and Practice Management software to document required activities
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2-5 years Xero and/or Sage cloud-based accounting experience (essential)
Advanced Accounting, Income Tax, Provisional Tax, PAYE, VAT, SARS, E-filing knowledge
Strong Excel skills
CaseWare, Syft Analytics, Sage, Quickbooks, Xero, SimplePay experience (advantageous)
Ability to work well under pressure, pro-actively addressing clients’ needs with the ability to multitask and manage multiple clients
Qualification:
B.Com Accounting (or similar)
Completed SAIPA Articles OR CIMA
