Job Summary
A prestigious, multi-estate wine group in South Africa is seeking a dynamic and strategic Sales and Marketing Manager to drive commercial growth and brand equity across its diverse portfolio of premium wine brands.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Brand Management: Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies for multiple distinct wine brands across local and international markets.
Revenue & Market Growth: Drive trade sales, distribution channels, and direct-to-consumer strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Portfolio & Trade Marketing: Oversee campaign execution, promotional calendar alignment, product launches, brand activations, and trade show representations.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships with distributors, key retail accounts, hospitality partners, and export agents.
Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify new market opportunities.
Financial & Budget Oversight: Manage the departmental marketing budget, evaluate campaign ROI, and align sales forecasts with operational targets.
Requirements:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
Proven experience in a dual Sales and Marketing Manager role within the wine industry.
Demonstrated track record of successfully managing and scaling multiple wine brands simultaneously.
Deep knowledge of local trade channels and international export markets for South African wines.
Strong commercial acumen with expertise in contract negotiation, pricing strategy, and brand positioning.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
