This executive role is responsible for ensuring secure, reliable, and future-focused IT and operational technology systems that enable the full mining value chain. Minimum Requirements Honours or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Technology MBA or equivalent leadership qualification (advantageous) Minimum 15–20 years’ senior IT leadership experience, including CIO-level exposure Strong experience in: Enterprise Architecture Strategic IT planning and execution Cybersecurity, risk, and governance Large-scale IT operations and integration Knowledge of mining industry and regulatory environments (advantageous) Job Description Summary Define and execute Harmony’s technology strategy and IT governance framework Provide strategic advisory to Board, EXCO, and executive leadership Ensure availability, security, and continuity of all IT and OT systems Lead digital transformation, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives Oversee cyber risk, compliance, and enterprise risk management frameworks Manage IT budgets, procurement, and cost optimisation Lead high-performing technology teams and develop future leadership capability Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, and regulators Drive alignment of technology solutions with business growth and operational efficiency
