About the Role
A leading property management and real estate services company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Leasing Administrator to support the leasing function across a portfolio of residential, commercial, retail, or mixed-use properties. The successful candidate will provide administrative support throughout the leasing process, ensuring accurate documentation, efficient tenant onboarding, and exceptional customer service.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the property sector and possess a strong understanding of leasing administration processes. They will be highly organised, customer-centric, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Leasing and Property Management teams.
- Prepare, issue, and manage lease agreements, addendums, renewals, and related documentation.
- Coordinate tenant applications, credit checks, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure all lease documentation is accurately completed, signed, and filed.
- Maintain tenant records and update property management systems.
- Track lease expiries and assist with lease renewal processes.
- Liaise with prospective and existing tenants regarding leasing enquiries and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate tenant onboarding and handover processes.
- Assist with vacancy reporting and leasing activity reports.
- Capture and maintain rental, tenant, and property information on relevant systems.
- Follow up on outstanding documentation and ensure compliance with leasing procedures.
- Assist with marketing and advertising administration for vacant units where required.
- Coordinate communication between tenants, property managers, and leasing agents.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, lease requirements, and applicable legislation.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Relevant qualification in Property Studies, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field advantageous.
- 2–4 years' administrative experience within a property, real estate, or leasing environment.
- Experience working with lease agreements and tenant administration.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with property management software will be advantageous.
