We are looking for a highly motivated and organised Plant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our treatment plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the plant, managing a team of production staff and maintaining high levels of quality and efficiency.
Job Duties:
- Manage and coordinate the operations of the medical waste treatment plant
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Oversee the disposal and treatment of medical waste materials
- Maintain records of waste processing activities
- Train and supervise plant staff
- Implement and enforce plant procedures and policies
- Monitor equipment performance and maintenance
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a waste treatment plant
- Knowledge of medical waste regulations and best practises
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Education:
Must have a matric and a relevant qualification is an added advantage
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a waste treatment plant
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of waste treatment processes
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Must have electrical experience
- Must have mechanical experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Waste Management
- Experience working in the healthcare industry
Working Conditions:
The role involves working in a medical waste treatment plant environment. It may require occasional weekend or evening shifts.
