Job Summary
Our client, a leading subcontractor to the construction sector seeks to employ an Electrical Site Manager, with a strong knowledge of contracts (JCBB, FIDIC, NEC) and supervising construction electrical projects.
Please note that this role does require a candidate who has a Trade test as electrician, with wireman’s license (MIE preferred) and a National Diploma (N6)in Electrical Engineering, coupled with experience in PV solar, MV switching, as well as MCC and Controls experience
KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION
- You will have completed a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (N6), plus a recognised trade test and valid wireman’s license, coupled with 3-5 years in project management and 5+ years in electrical construction site and project supervision, as well as working knowledge of contract management as listed above.
- You will have proven experience in PV design and installation of residential projects, as well as experience in MV/LV reticulation projects, MV terminations, switching and jointing
- You will have proven experience in sub-contractor management, as well as managing projects finances, quality, HSE, planning, permit applications, material/labour/equipment schedules per site and site/report administration
- You will have a solid understanding of estimation, final claims/accounts for subcontractors and measuring for materials, equipment and labour required.
- Proven technical aptitude and expert problem solving and organisational abilities will be essential.
- Expert software skills in MS Projects and MS Office is essential
- You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
