We are seeking an experienced Cost Estimator with exposure to the print and signage industry to join a growing and fast-paced business. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate quotations and cost estimates for a variety of print, signage and production projects, ensuring pricing accuracy, profitability and operational efficiency.

The role requires a strong understanding of print and signage production processes, materials, supplier pricing and costing methodologies.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• Relevant qualification advantageous
• Minimum 2–3 years' experience within a print, signage, branding or related production environment
• Previous estimating, quotations, internal sales or production administration experience
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Computer literacy (Excel, Word)
• Experience with estimating systems such as QuickEasy advantageous
• Understanding of print production, signage materials and manufacturing processes

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quotations and cost estimates for signage, branding and print-related projects
• Calculate labour, material, production and installation costs
• Analyse project specifications and determine the most cost-effective production methods
• Source and compare supplier pricing for materials, outsourced services and production requirements
• Liaise with production teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate pricing
• Issue purchase orders for external suppliers and subcontractors
• Monitor project costing and identify opportunities for improved efficiency and cost savings
• Update and revise estimates based on client amendments and specification changes
• Maintain accurate estimating records and costing procedures
• Assist with pricing enquiries and quotation turnaround times
